Sign-in: the button is grey or shows a message

Tavira signs you in with Google, or with your email and a password. The Google button stays grey for a few seconds while Tavira connects to Google. If it stays grey, or a message appears under it, find the message below.

Google sign-in did not load within 8 seconds. This is usually a slow connection, or an ad or privacy blocker holding back a Tavira file. Check your connection, turn off blockers for tavira.live, then press Try again.
What it means. The file that connects to Google did not arrive in time. Slow connections and ad or privacy blockers cause this.

Pop-ups

Google sign-in opens in a small window. If your browser blocks it, look for a blocked pop-up notice near the address bar, choose to allow pop-ups for tavira.live, then press the button again.

Cookies and site storage

Sign-in needs your browser to keep a small note about your session. If cookies or site data are blocked, allow them for tavira.live and for Google, then try again.

Private windows

Private and incognito windows often block that storage. Open Tavira in a normal window instead.

Try another browser

If one browser keeps failing, try another one, such as Chrome, Safari, Edge or Firefox. Ad blockers and privacy extensions can also hold back a sign-in file, so switch them off for tavira.live or use a browser without them.

What to do

  1. Reload the page and press the Google button again.
  2. Allow pop-ups for tavira.live.
  3. Open Tavira in a normal window, not a private one.
  4. Turn off ad and privacy blockers for tavira.live.
  5. Try another browser.
  6. Use your email and a password instead of Google: the form under the Google button works without pop-ups.
  7. Still stuck? Write to dozie@tavira.live with the message you see and the name of your browser.

Signing in with email and a password

You do not need a Google account. On the Get started page, type your name, your email and a password of at least 8 characters, then press “Create account with email”. Your name goes on your certificates.

  1. Tavira opens your workspace straight away and sends a confirmation link to your email.
  2. Open that link (check your spam folder too). It confirms your address.
  3. Back in your workspace, press “I’ve confirmed it”. You can now make your first course.

Choosing which Google account

The Google button always asks which Google account to use, so you can pick another one or choose “Use another account”, even when your browser is already signed in to Google.

Forgot your password?

On the Sign in page, type your email and press “Forgot your password?”. A link to choose a new password arrives by email.

Sign in the same way each time

If you made your account with Google, use the Google button. If you made it with your email and a password, use the email form. One email address has one Tavira account.

Your workspace

The first time you sign in, with Google or with your email and a password, Tavira opens your workspace with 2 free minutes. There is no approval step, no sales call and no card. Email accounts confirm their address from a link before the first course. Sign in the same way each time to find your courses again.

Minutes

A minute is a minute of finished film. Starting a 2-minute course uses 2 minutes. The teaching plan and every edit you make before you approve cost nothing more. Watching a course, publishing, learner links, progress, knowledge checks and certificates are included. A minute costs ₦5,000.

If a course is paused

Your minutes are kept. Do not start the course again. Write to dozie@tavira.live with the name of the course, and the Tavira team will tell you what to do next.

How long a film takes

Each workspace makes one film at a time. Tavira makes three films at once, more than 100 two-minute films a day; when all are busy, new films wait in a queue and start on their own. A two-minute film takes about 30 to 40 minutes, and you can close the page while it is made.

While you wait

The Progress tab shows where your film is in the queue, how long it has been running and, once the frames are being drawn, about how many minutes are left. That figure comes from the frames drawn so far and how fast they are being drawn, so it can change.

Press “Tell me when the film is ready” on that tab and your browser tells you when the film is ready to review, or if it stops, even when the page is closed. Your browser asks first, and you can turn it off on the same tab. If you do not see the button, notifications are not offered in your browser here; open the course later and it is kept as it was.

If a film stops

When the cloud worker stops, or the voice service stays busy after Tavira has waited for it, Tavira starts the film again once by itself, from the narration already recorded. It says so on the Progress tab and in the course history, and tells you. This uses none of your minutes. If the film stops a second time it stays stopped, and the Progress tab shows a Retry button.

Buying minutes by bank transfer

  1. Open Minutes in your account, choose how many you want and send the request.
  2. You get a reference code. Pay by bank transfer in naira and keep the reference with your transfer.
  3. The Tavira team confirms the transfer. This is the only routine step Tavira staff take. Nobody at Tavira writes, edits or makes your course.
  4. Your minutes are added as soon as the transfer is confirmed.

What to send

If your minutes have not appeared after you have paid, write to dozie@tavira.live with your reference code, the amount you sent, the name on the account you sent it from and a picture of the transfer receipt.

Learners, sign-in and certificates

When you publish a course, Tavira gives you a learner link. Share it with the people who should take the course. Learners sign in with Google or with their email, watch with chapters and captions, read the transcript, pick up where they stopped and answer the knowledge checks.

A certificate is issued when the learner has answered every check correctly and acknowledged the training. It belongs to the release they took. Learners see only the published release, never your source file.

Your source file stays private

Your uploaded file is kept in private storage tied to your account, and Tavira checks who is asking before it opens a file. Learners never see it. A film is public only if its creator approves it for the public site. Read privacy and access ↗
