The Tavira team operated a separate customer account to make these courses. The records show the product working from start to finish; they are not independent customers and they are not measured learning results. Each course was made in the live workspace from a document the US government has placed in the public domain, through the normal web interface, the way any customer would. Open the technical record under a course to see where the app stopped, what we changed in Tavira and what the customer did next. Times are how long each step took.
Each workspace makes one film at a time. Tavira makes three films at once, more than 100 two-minute films a day; when all are busy, new films wait in a queue and start on their own. A two-minute film takes about 30 to 40 minutes, and you can close the page while it is made.
CASE 1 · A SECURITY POLICY GUIDE
Small Business Information Security: The Fundamentals
Clean run on Tavira 1.0.4 — no changes to Tavira during the run
Time to completion
2 h 25 min on the clock, from choosing the file to a learner’s certificate. Tavira’s own work took 35 min 42 s (plan 1 min 12 s, film 34 min 30 s); the finished film then waited 1 h 46 min for the creator to listen.
Edits by the creator
None. The storyboard was approved as Tavira AI wrote it.
Retries
None by the creator. Inside its one planning attempt, Tavira sent the plan back to Tavira AI twice: seven chapters became six, and one misquoted line was corrected.
Staff involvement
None. No minutes credited, no records changed by hand, no change to Tavira during the run.
What it cost Tavira
74¢ in all: 57¢ of AI services (45¢ for the plan and its two corrections, 12¢ for the 12 narration lines) and about 17¢ of cloud time for the 31 min 59 s film job. The course used the account’s 2 free minutes; two minutes sell for ₦10,000 (about $7.35).

Customer
Signed up on the Get started page with a new email address and a password, confirmed the address from the email link, and found 2 free minutes in the workspace.
Customer
Chose the NIST guide (a 54-page PDF), the Risk & response look and the Charon voice, and pressed Build teaching storyboard.
Tavira AI1 min 12 s
Wrote the plan. Tavira’s checks sent it back twice inside the same attempt, once for seven chapters instead of six and once for a quote that did not match the guide word for word; the third answer passed every check.
Customer1 min 3 s
Read the 12 narration lines beside their source passages (232 words, about 102 s of speech) and approved version 1 with no edits.
Cloud worker34 min 30 s
Made the film in one attempt: narration, caption timing, 2,880 frames, sound and the final checks.
Customer
Listened to the two passages the speech check flagged (it heard “Recovery” for “Recover” and “Policy” for “Policies”); the voice said the approved words. Published release version 1.
Learners
A learner joined with the learner link, jumped between chapters with captions on, answered all six checks correctly on the first try and received a certificate for release 1. The source file and the owner screens returned not found for the learner.
Work done outside the app
Fixed before Tavira 1.0 Before this run, four tries in the same account stopped at plan checks on Tavira 1.0 to 1.0.3 (seven chapters, a chapter with no section, a wrong page number, a figure written in words). Each problem was fixed and released as 1.0.1 to 1.0.4 before this run began, and this run started from scratch on 1.0.4.
Nobody edited the storyboard, the narration or the film outside the app. No minutes were credited and no records were changed by hand.
Learner access
The learner signed in with a different Google account, one with no access to the customer’s workspace (it belongs to the Tavira team). It saw release 1 only: the film, chapters, captions, transcript and knowledge checks.

Technical record4 stops · 6 fixes to Tavira
What happened, step by step
Customer
Imported OSHA 3120 and chose the Process path look and the Kore voice.
Tavira AIStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
The first plan stopped at a check: Tavira AI labelled its chapters with the booklet's own headings, which the check did not accept. We widened the check so real headings count, and the course was started again from the same file.
Tavira AI21 s
Wrote the teaching plan: six chapters, twelve narrated scenes and six knowledge checks, each line tied to a quoted passage.
Customer
Edited scene 8 to state the source figure: tag attachments need a minimum unlocking strength of at least 50 pounds. A wrong figure (40) was refused before saving because it is not in that scene's source passage.
Customer
Approved version 1.
Cloud workerStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
Stopped at narration scene 10 of 12: the voice service limits requests per minute. We made the worker wait and try again instead of stopping.
Customer12 s
Pressed Retry. The 10 recorded scenes were reused and the narration finished.
Cloud workerStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
Stopped again: the Kore voice speaks about 118 words a minute, so 236 words needed 120 s of speech, more than the film allows. We changed Tavira to set each voice's word budget from its measured pace, so this now shows up in the storyboard before any film is made.
Customer
Opened version 2 and shortened four scenes, from 237 to 215 words (about 109 s for Kore). The app marked the earlier approval as outdated.
Tavira staff
Approval was refused: the stopped attempts had used this test account's $6 spending limit. Tavira staff raised the limit and added 2 staff-credited test minutes by hand. No payment was taken for this test account.
Cloud workerStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
Stopped at a final timing check because of a rounding error in how Tavira added up frame times. We fixed it.
Customer
Pressed Retry; the recorded narration was reused.
Cloud worker30 min 30 s
Made the film: the recorded narration was reused, the captions were timed to the voice, 2,880 frames were drawn, the sound was added and the film was checked.
Cloud workerFixed before Tavira 1.0
Scenes 2, 7 and 11 had no labels in the plan, so the film shows the template's general step names there (“Review the source” and the like). We changed the templates so later films leave those panels untitled.
Customer
Watched the finished film. The speech check flagged passages where its recognizer heard other words; the customer listened, heard the approved words, and published release version 2.
Learners
A learner joined through the learner link, jumped between chapters and came back to the saved position after reloading. One wrong answer scored 83% and gave no certificate; with every answer correct the course was completed and a certificate for release version 2 was issued.
LearnersFixed before Tavira 1.0
In every knowledge check the right answer was the first option. We changed Tavira to show each question's options in a fixed mixed order; grading uses the original answer.
Work done outside the app
Fixed before Tavira 1.0 Changes to Tavira itself, each deployed and then used through the app: section names checked loosely; long drafts flagged for the customer instead of rejected; chart scenes without source figures shown as step scenes; waiting when the voice service is busy; word budgets from each voice's measured pace; frame times added up exactly.
Tavira staff raised this test account's spending limit and added 2 staff-credited test minutes by hand, outside the app. No payment was taken for this test account.
Nobody edited the storyboard, the narration or the film outside the app.
Learner access
The learner signed in with a different Google account, one with no access to the customer's workspace (it belongs to the Tavira team). Asked directly, the server returned not found for the source file, the course's owner screens and the learner register. The customer's Learners tab listed this learner with a score of 100% and the certificate.

Technical record2 stops · 2 fixes to Tavira
What happened, step by step
Customer
Imported the guide as a Markdown file and chose the Layered story look and the Aoede voice.
Tavira AIStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
The first plan stopped at the quote check: the import kept Markdown link code, so Tavira AI's quotes of the readable text did not match. We changed the import to read Markdown as the text a reader sees, and the course was started again from the same file.
Tavira AIStoppedFixed before Tavira 1.0
The second plan stopped at a section check: chapter 3, The Handbook, named no section. We let a chapter's own title count when it matches a planned section.
Customer
Pressed Check the saved plan again. Tavira's checks passed on the same saved answer, with no new AI call.
Customer
Shortened five scenes, from 237 to 207 words, to fit Aoede's two-minute budget of 214 words, and saved revision 1.
Customer
Approved version 1 once the lockout/tagout film had finished. Before Tavira 1.0, films were made one at a time across all of Tavira, so a second film waited for the first. Now each workspace makes one film at a time, and Tavira makes up to three films at once across all accounts; more wait in a queue and start on their own.
Cloud worker38 min 15 s
Made the film in one attempt: narration, caption timing, 2,880 frames, sound and the final checks.
Customer
Listened to the two passages the speech check flagged (it heard “design” for “assigned” and “LaZoom” for “while Zoom”). The voice said the approved words, so the customer published release version 1.
Learners
A learner joined through the learner link and watched with chapters, captions and the transcript. The owner screens returned not found for this learner.
Work done outside the app
Fixed before Tavira 1.0 Changes to Tavira itself, each deployed and then used through the app: Markdown imported as readable text, with the import keyed to the extracted text so a better reading becomes a new source version; a chapter's title counts as its section when it matches.
Tavira staff added 2 staff-credited test minutes by hand, outside the app. No payment was taken for this test account.
Nobody edited the storyboard, the narration or the film outside the app.
Learner access
The same separate Google account joined as a learner. It sees release version 1 only: the chapters, the film with captions, the transcript and the knowledge checks, never the Markdown source.
The first example course
The economic review course was Tavira's first published film, made from an 80-page report before Tavira recorded each step of a course. It shows the finished result; the course records above show how a customer gets there in the app.
